Lindsay Gillis is a singer, teacher, and director based in Vancouver, BC. She grew up in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, where she earned her BMus in Classical Singing (2016). As part of her musical training, Lindsay performed in musical theater productions like Annie and The Sound of Music, and performed the role of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro. Lindsay went on to earn her MMus (2018) and a Graduate Performance Diploma (2019) at the University of Ottawa in Classical Singing and Opera. During her graduate studies, Lindsay performed the roles of Frasquita in Carmen, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Zerlina in Don Giovanni. In Vancouver, Lindsay has performed the roles of Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (Crescendo Operatic Society), Lady Angela in Patience (North Shore Light Opera Society), and Violetta in La Traviata (The Opera Project). She has also produced several concerts, both digital and in-person, with The Opera Project since 2021. When she isn’t singing in Italian, Lindsay enjoys writing fiction and leading Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. This performance is Lindsay’s return to musical theater after a brief hiatus and she’s pleased to work with an enthusiastic cast of performers!
