Bernardo Arana

Bernardo Arana is 24, originally from Antigua Guatemala, moved to Mexico for College, and is excited for his new life chapter in Vancouver. His artistic education has been both in Guatemala and Mexico. In Guatemala, he learned from professors like Juan Pablo Asturias and Juan Antonio Llanes, participating in different acting workshops, with his favorite being Commedia dell'Arte under the guidance of Javier Asturias. He had the opportunity to act in various productions during these workshops, including an adaptation of A Christmas Carol and The Addams Family musical, where he portrayed Gomez Addams.
In Mexico, Bernardo furthered his artistic journey under the mentorship of Mexican artists like Alejandro Morales and Ricardo Leal, notably portraying Egeus in A Midsummer Night's Dream with the college Theatre Company.
Apart from acting, Bernardo is also passionate about music production and composition. He has composed music for several productions, including The Metamorphosis, which received the "Angel de la Cultura" award from Guatemala's Minister of Culture, Little Prince, and Dial M. for Murder in Guatemala, as well as contributing songs for A Midsummer Night's Dream and other productions in Mexico.
Outside of his artistic pursuits, Bernardo works as a software engineer and aspires to balance both his artistic and technical passions professionally in the future. He is excited about his first show with the Broadway Chorus. He approaches each opportunity with a growth mindset, eager to learn from the diverse experiences and perspectives of his fellow performers. By fostering a collaborative environment, Bernardo aims to create an unforgettable experience for every audience member.
